The winner in each of the 15 award categories receives £500 for their club, with two highly-commended projects in each category receiving £100. Each festival was a celebration of running rugby with over 1500 children taking part. Parents and spectators were witness to some fantastic skills by young children who were encouraged to be creative and express themselves with the ball in hand. No trophies were awarded and scores were not kept. All three CBs reported how pleased they were with the feedback from players and parents alike. They were especially pleased with the touchline behaviour of parents and coaches who recognised that their role was to encourage and compliment all players on their efforts not the results of the games. <br> <br> Duncan Parker vice chair of the Hampshire Youth Committee, commented that feedback from parents and coaches alike has been how much fun it was with no targets to meet and no trophies to aim for.
